Be a Rainmaker

Be a Rainmaker

The smallest businesses often have trouble getting financing, even when they have a strong plan for growth — especially for amounts under $15,000. That’s where you come in. As a Rainmaker, you help support small business loans. And, unlike other funding websites, you get your money back when the business owner repays the loan.

Choose a Project

Choose a Project

You decide who to support and how much. Visit our Projects page to read about our pre-approved businesses and their funding requests. Pick one or pick several. For each project, decide your level of support, and then follow the easy directions on how you can be a Rainmaker for that business.

Why It Works

Why It Works

We created Rainmakers for Business with the support and participation of local credit unions. Each business owner is carefully screened and loan requests go through a thorough review before we present them to you. By crowd-sourcing support, we’re providing access to funding for entrepreneurs who traditionally aren’t served by the usual financing sources.

Supporting small local businesses strengthens communities and helps business owners build a future for themselves and their families. Rainmakers for Business allows members of the community to participate in growing those businesses.
